Lab Improvement

Information

The Laboratory Improvement Program registers all clinical laboratories in Idaho and conducts surveys to ensure compliance with the federal laboratory quality assurance regulations defined in the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). The Program also licenses all x-ray devices in Idaho and inspects X-ray facilities to ensure commpliance with Idaho adminstrative rules.

Program Performance Measures

Goal 1: Provide timely inspections and reports for Idaho Clinical Laboratories and X-ray producing devices.

Objective: By June 2025, increase the completion baseline rate from 0% to 95% of CLIA Statement of Deficiencies and Plan of Correction forms (CMS 2567 Forms) to surveyed laboratories within 10 business of inspection.
